He comes to Mumbai to wish his idol on his Birthday, but over there things got worst and Gaurav's obsession turned himself a man who wants to create chaos in Aryan Khanna's life.

Written by Naved Dalkhaniya. He takes a special journey to meet with his beloved superstar only to find that he is not the only one in the list.

Things get interesting when Gaurav feels betrayed and determined to teach a lesson to his God. The movie introduces some interesting aspects in terms of what it means to be a superstar and what it means to be a Fan.

Gaurav is kind of an Anti-hero who is made to be loved, scared, loathed and disgusted by the director in various parts of the movie.

Credit goes to SRK for his portrayal of Gaurav. He gets the mannerisms, body language, dialogues right.

The initial scenes of Gaurav feels kind of over played but by the end of the movie, SRK gets Gaurav right. In fact in one of the subtle scenes in the movie, SRK acts a bit like Gaurav while speaking to a Police inspector.

If it was intentional than well done SRK. Kudos goes to the director for keeping the movie songs free.

He deserves 0. The movie is a thriller but seems kind of stretched over a period minutes. The ending is melodramatic which puts me off but the director desperately tries to make us love Gaurav even though he is kind of annoying.

Overall the effort is decent and SRK deserves some credit for Gaurav. He is certainly in contention for the filmfare but to be honest who cares.

Please Watch Fan for if you want to remember when SRK used to act and not just play himself every time. It deserves 7.

If only the movie was edited a lot better and SRK showed some restrain with Gaurav it could have been his memorable performance.

Rate This. Gaurav develops an obsession with a movie star who looks just like him. Still the youngster has learned to impersonate his idol and sees himself as an extension of him, almost like his child or perhaps a younger version of himself.

This horrifies the star and causes him to give advise to the young man to just go live his own life and leave him alone. Heartbroken that his beloved Aryan does not recognize or appreciate his love and devotion to him, the youngster sets out to destroy the star's good name and public image by posing as him in various places and circumstances, even eventually gaining admittance to the star's home and coming on to his wife.

She of course is not fooled, but he threatens one of their children. The chase seen and subsequent fight is a ground breaking piece of cinema, with one actor playing two distinct parts so seamlessly it is nearly impossible to remember they are one person and not two.

Red Chilies VFX does some magnificent work with effects. I don't know if Mr. Khan will ever be able to top this film for fine acting.

As a side note, SRK shattered his knee cap while filming this movie but the show must go on and no one would ever know he was suffering in real pain, neither in this film or in any of the ones he made directly after this one with not enough time off to properly rest and heal his knee.

You rock hard Mr. Good movie plot and the make up was fantastic - made him look a million times younger. But in the end Wished the movie would have showed how the rest of the public found out that there WAS someone pretending to be Aryan.

Because the movie revolved so much about fans and public opinions - and since we didn't really see their reaction afterwards And another thing I mean after everything he did!!

Plus it goes against that scene where Aryan says "He's seen my star face, now he will see my real face". I mean that scene had an impact and made him more charismatic.

So the ending just Plus his "sisters" did not make any cameo appearances : And there were no good songs like the usually ones in bollywood movies. But his best movie lately.

Hopefully his movies will keep evolving. One person found this helpful. I used to be a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan.

It was his acting chops combined with his risk taking that made him the superstar that he is today. Once he got there, he played it safe and minted the big bucks playing similar roles over and over again.

I stopped watching his movies altogether for a while. Recently, I saw Dear Zindagi and was tempted to check out this well reviewed movie.

I think this is probably one of his best movies. Maneesh Sharma does a fine job as director. SRK is amazing as the obsessive fan as well as a version of himself in real life.

It reminded me why I was once a huge fan. SRK is pretty unbelievable in this and it's worth seeing just to see how amazingly he plays the dual roles.

I'm a huge fan of his anyway but mostly for his gazing soulfully into the heroines eyes but this film showcases the magnitude of his actual acting ability.

The plot is good too, suspenseful and fairly straightforward with no major plot holes which is also a kind of miracle for a Bollywood film.

A good movie overall and a definite must see for SRK fans. I am a huge Shah rukh fan myself so this was a different type movie for me. It was really great seeing him so dual roles of himself.

It's no wonder he is the king of Bollywood he earned that title. I've seen everything he had done and he puts his all into each role this was no exception.

One of the best SRK movie ever!! Sein Held Aryan hat es seinerzeit auch so gemacht. Dann nimmt die Story eine andere Wendung und enorme Fahrt auf.

Maneesh Sharma braucht sich mit seinem -Fan- hinter keiner Hollywood-Produktion verstecken. Am Ende gereicht die Spannungsschraube der Geschichte locker an jeden Bond heran.
