And as for me, there's not much to say about this film. I'm not from U. I'm just not sure that I properly understand the whole atmosphere of the movie.
But I did enjoyed some of its dialogues and some colourful characters, like Chris played by Dylan McDermott and, of course, Howdy by Crispin Glover, who truly makes this film worth seeing 'cause he's as odd as usual for him!
In the end, we have a good movie, but not great. Because I can't realy say what it is about. Our whole life is a twister.
What to do with this knowledge is yours to decide. My grandson loves anything showing tornados, so this one definitely caught his eye. Nice, clean, family movie as far as language and sexual content are concerned.
Don't know if the father blowing away the beginning of the movie might be frightening for younger viewers.. If you are looking for storm chasers, tornadoes or the movie with Helen Hunt, where twisters chase her around for the length of the film, you are in the wrong place in spite of the title being the same.
Burroughs in a perfect cameo, delivering a line about a lost man that was so bizarre, I'm still laughing about it.
This is about a severely dysfunctional family, whose existence is based on surrealistic controversy and inexplicable angst.
Crispin shines in this role as "Howdy", where he acts out his twisted personality without reservation.
For that alone, this film is worth watching. Just don't expect anything about this film to make sense and you'll be fine.
